Jose was born in Madera, Ca. He enlisted in the Navy on July 27, 1966 and was honored to serve his country. Jose is survived by his wife Ruth Valdez, his 2 daughters Jeannae & Denyse, his son in laws, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Jose graduated from Compton High School and then went on to graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and landed a position with Rockwell which he stayed for several years.
Jose enjoyed tutoring kids and decided to use his education to then become a teacher which he was passionate about, Jose loved to bowl and loved listening to all genres of music from his favorite artist Janis Joplin, James Brown to Mariachi’s. Jose always loved to challenge himself outdoors, he hiked Mt. Whitney 4 times. He loved to mentor kids in his community and took on the position as lead commander at the American Legion, post 134 and spent his last years swapping stories with other Veterans at the post. He had so many friends and family the he loved and loved him dearly, he will be greatly missed.
