Juliette "Julie" Drouin

Juliette “Julie” Drouin, age 90, passed away at her home in Riverside CA on August 30, 2011. She was born in Shartierville, Province of Quebec Canada, and was a Riverside resident for the past 68 years. Julie was a homemaker for 68 years and was a wonderful wife and mother to her 3 children. Julie was the oldest of 9 children, and while she was in 8th grade, her father passed away. She had to drop out of school to help her mother raise her younger siblings. She worked hard and never complained about having to take on such a huge responsibility at such a young age. Julie was a happy woman; she loved to bowl, she loved her 1968 Buick Skylark, and she enjoyed gardening in her yard. She also loved her bird “Bugsy” whom she had found not long after the loss of her Husband, Bugsy became her baby.

Julie is survived by her 2 daughters; Jeannine Smith and Paulette Drouin, her 4 Grandchildren; Joel, Lorin, Micheline, and Nicole, her 12 Great-Grandchildren; Jeannine, Jessica, Hazel, Terrin, Taytum, Buddy, Ashley, Brandy, Kierstien, Angelique, Riley, and Skyler, she also has 2 Great- Great Grandchildren; Julianna and Eithan, and we cannot forget her bird Bugsy. Julie is preceded in death by her Husband Adrian Drouin and her Son Adrian Buddy Drouin. Julie lived a long, happy life. She was loved by many, and will be missed by everyone she touched.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday September 6, 2011 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Funeral Services will be held in her honor on Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 11AM both at Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Park.
