

Thanh Ha was born in Vietnam on September 29,1948 to parents Nguyen Van An and Trinh Thi Tot. She graduated from college in Vietnam and became a school teacher for many years. Thanh Ha married Nguyen Thanh Da in1971 and had three daughters.
In 1982, Thanh Ha fled Vietnam with her two youngest daughters by boat after the Vietnam War. She relocated to Riverside, CA in 1984 after spending some times at the Pulau Galang, Indonesia Refugee Camp. In 1989, she was reunited with her husband and eldest daughter after 7 years of family separation due to the humanitarian crisis in Vietnam.
With a new found life in America, Thanh Ha went back to college and earned an Associate Degree in 1986 from Riverside Community College. She worked for The Bear Medical Equipment Company for more than 25 years as a medical device assembler, showcasing her wonderful skills of problem solving. She retired in 2011 to help care for her three youngest grandchildren whom she adored dearly.
Thanh Ha truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; walking, chatting with friends and family, shopping, cooking, vacationing and spending time with her grandchildren. Last but not least, she was a faithful member of the Catholic Church. Her services to the church included: Singing in the church choir, teaching bible studies, serving as Treasurer for the Vietnamese Church and as President of the Women's Ministry. Thanh Ha had an uncanny ability to touch and reach people in the most positive ways. She is loved by all the individuals who got to meet her.
Thanh Ha is survived by her husband, Thanh Da; her daughters, Thanh Truc, Thanh Thao, and Thanh Mai; her grandchildren and many more extended families. Thanh Ha had devoted all of her life into caring, helping and serving her family, friends and church. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all those who knew her.
