Larry spent his teenage and early adult years in El Cerrito where he created lifelong friendships. He would often tell of the shenanigans that took place throughout those years attesting to his life motto of “let’s go!”
Larry met his wife Kathy in 1984 and the two married shortly after. They, over the next 39 years raised 5 children…and helped countless others that they welcomed into their home with open arms.
Upon becoming a father, Larry redirected his life's focus, dedicating himself to providing for his family. In 1988, he earned his contractor's license, embarking on a journey that would lead to him being known as “the person you called when you needed something done right!” Larry's dedication persisted tirelessly until his passing, leaving a lasting impact through his work and devotion to those he loved.
A true family man, he found joy in going fishing with his son in Mexico, cruises & Pechanga trips with Kathy, Angel games with his youngest daughters, camping trips to Glamis with his family and closest friends, and just simply being Papa. Being "Papa" was a role he embraced. Larry took pride in every one of his children and grandchildren, eagerly sharing their accomplishments with everyone he talked to. His family was truly his world.
Larry's contagious smile and enormous heart had a remarkable way of lighting up any room he entered, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known him. Larry will be remembered for all the love and laughter he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each and every one of them.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Kristin and son-in-law Brian, his son Austin and daughter-in-law Kylie, daughter Desiree and son-in-law Ryan, daughter Hunter and son Dalton. As well as his six grandchildren; Clayden, Ashlyn, Everly, Savannah, Avery, & Emma.
As the great Muhammad Ali once said “Don’t count the days, make the days count!” And that Larry did…EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.
