Loretta Sue Rahon was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 6, 1941 to the late Samuel and Geneva Barnwell. Loretta died peacefully on November 29, 2022 with her children by her side. Loretta was the youngest of four children. In the early 1950s, the family moved to southern California and settled in Anaheim. Loretta attended Anaheim High School and had a part-time job at the happiest place on earth Disneyland. In 1960, Loretta married the love of her life James “Jim” Steven Rahon. They lived in Lakewood, California before moving to La Habra, California. They had four children (Steve Rahon, Jerry Rahon, Lori Hardin, and Mike Rahon) that attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School followed by Servite and Rosary High School. Loretta was a homemaker and was very involved in her children’s schools. Family was most important to Loretta and she ensured that her family was well taken care of and were thriving. After the kids had grown, Loretta returned to the workforce and worked for 20 years at Jonathan Manufacturing as a bookkeeper. In 2004, Jim and Loretta moved to Bullhead City, Arizona and enjoyed the desert lifestyle and the local Elks Lodge. After 49 years of marriage, Jim passed away leaving Loretta a widow. Thereafter Loretta returned to California to be closer to her children joining her daughter’s family in Corona and Riverside. Loretta is survived by her four children, ten grandchildren (James Rahon, Kayla Rahon, Mary Hardin, Kelsey Peranick, Joe Rahon, Kaitlin Rahon, Mike Rahon Jr, Sarah Rahon, Jack Rahon, and Maddie Rahon) and one great grandchild (Maverick John Peranick).
