

Luis was a devoted husband of 40 years and a loving father of three children. He was a proud and accomplished civil engineer for over 48 years, having recently retired from Caltrans after dedicating over 26 years to the organization.
In his free time, Luis enjoyed spending time with his family, dominating at dominos, road trips, music, computers and cycling. Luis had a passion for learning and was always seeking to expand his knowledge and learn new things from new languages to history to politics. Luis will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering loyalty, booming voice, twinkling smile, and his dedication to his family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Edda; his three children: Claudia (Joe), Andres (Rachel), and David; his four adoring grandchildren: Luke, Lucy, Max, and Nicolas; his siblings: Guillermina, Flor, Marina, Manuel (Soledad), and Diego (Nidia); and his nieces, nephews, and other close family members. His legacy will live on through his family, friends, and the many lives he touched during his time on Earth.
