In Loving Memory of Manuela "Nely" Paez

1928 – 2025

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch,Manuela "Nely" Paez, who departed this life at the age of 97 on May 23, 2025 in Riverside, California, where she made her home for the past 48 years.

Born in Mexicali, Mexico in 1928, she lived a long and faith-filled life, leaving an enduring legacy of love, strength, and devotion. A proud and steadfast member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, she lived her faith daily and inspired those around her with her unwavering belief and compassionate spirit.

She is survived by a large and loving family: her 6 children, 18 grandchildren, 30+ great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren—each of whom carries a piece of her warmth, wisdom, and love.

To all who knew her, Nely was more than a mother, grandmother, or friend—she was a guiding light. Her home was always open, her heart even more so. She touched countless lives with her kindness, gentle humor, and boundless generosity.

She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue through every life she touched. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, resting in the arms of the Lord she so faithfully served.

A graveside service for Manuela will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505.
