

RIVERSIDE NORMA LEE MONTIGEL January 4, 1927~March 14, 2010 83, Riverside, California. Norma Lee Montigel was born to the late Asbury and Carrie Brewster January 4, 1927, in San Bernardino, California. Norma was a graduate of USC School of Pharmacy. In 1948 she and her father opened Brewster\'s Drugs. Norma married the late William "Bill" Montigel April 29, 1951. Norma cared for her family and was a stay at home mom for their four children. She also supported Bill in his concrete pipe company. Upon retirement they opened the Gas Pump Store where together they enjoyed buying, selling, and collecting antiques. Norma was always very supportive of her children and grandchildren\'s activities. She was involved with Boy and Girl Scouts, 4H and National Charity League. Attending their sporting events bought her great joy. She was an active member of First Methodist Church, and enjoyed attending Bible Study and Builders. In addition to being involved with Art Alliance, and supporting RCC, Norma was a member of the Zonta Club of Riverside for 60 years and was involved with the Janet Goeske Senior Center for exercise, line dancing, Current Events, Friday Morning Club and Sign Language. Norma is survived by her four children, Bill Montigel and wife Margaret, Bette Hicks,and husband Raymond, Lori Montigel and Martin Montigel, her five siblings, Evelyn Gragg, Doris Wright, Jean Hagler, Betty Kelly, and Averytt Brewster, her seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations go to: Zonta Club of Riverside Scholarship Fund, 122 Bracebridge Road, Riverside, CA 92506 or to the Janet Goeske Senior Center 5257 Sierra Ave., Riverside, CA 92504 A viewing will be held 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday March 24 at Acheson and Graham Funeral Home.
