Pauline Margaret Mendez

She is survived by her daughters Marcella Vargas (Carnell), Susanne Whatley (Steve), Sherri Rick, and Leslie Winterton (Dan). Grandchildren Stephanie, Dylan, Brennen, Jacob, Jenna, Justin, Lily, Brady and great grandchildren AJ and Peter.

Pauline worked for RUSD for 35 years before she retired to help take care of her grandkids. Before she fell ill, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, fixing puzzles, gardening, and watching television programs like The Price is Right and NCIS shows.

Most of all she loved spending time with her family and reminiscing about her childhood.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504 for a viewing and rosary. A mass will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 2858 9th St, Riverside, CA 92507.Committal service will follow, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518 where she will be laid to rest with her husband Clarence.
