Ramon "Mon" Jose Ramos

Ramon "Mon" Jose Ramos, age 69, of Riverside, California, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Mon was born, raised, and lived his life in CA. Mon is preceeded in death by his parents, Jorge & Hilda Ramos. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Ramos, his children, Cecilia (Reginald) Williams, Ramon Ramos Jr, Rebecca Ramos, and Monica (Patrick) Harlow, as well as his grandchildren, Desmond Williams, Leilani Ramos, Eleanor Ramos, and Ramon Ramos III.

Mon is also survived by his sisters and brother; Pilar (Tony) Gamboa, Sonia (Mark) Porter, George (Diana) Ramos, Hilda Avila, and Ana Ramos.

Ramon was a Husband, a Father (Pop/Dad), a Grandfather (Tata), a Son, and a Brother. He was a Nino (Godfather) to a number of his nieces and nephews, a favorite Uncle and Cousin, and to those fortunate to know him, a great Friend. He went by many names, most commonly Mon. He was lovingly known as Bones, Tiny and Lauro by his brother and sisters.

Mon had a creative spirit and was a gifted artist. He was a custom automotive painter, creating awesome designs and murals. He painted, was a writer of poems and songs, and created jewelry. He shared a language with plants and had gardens of medicinal herbs, chiles, tomatoes, and more. From that he created his own brand of a healing balm he called El Rey – the best pain killer around!

Mon’s first love was Sandy - his soul mate, and his kids and grandkids. Camping, fishing, barbeques (some black ops, some friendly competitions), music, record collections, football, the Raiders – these too were Mon’s “things.” He lived life fully, unapologetically on his own terms, had an irreverent sense of humor – and you were blessed to be a part of his life and share in that.

A prayer service for Mon will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at St Mel's Catholic Church, 4140 Corona Ave, Norco, CA 92860. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4140 Corona Ave, Norco, CA 92860. A committal service will occur Monday, February 10, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505.
