My most sincere condolences to the Derrico family. My heart has been troubled hearing the news of Sasha’s passing. I remember hearing about her incident 2 years ago and questioning The Lord. I couldn’t see a reason for something so horrible to happen to someone so pure. I prayed for her and hoped for her to recover. I was grateful to see those prayers being answered. The last time I saw Sasha she seemed at peace and grateful for life. I was glad to see such joy coming from her. She was smiling playing with our dogs and Logan, and I remember being thankful that she was doing well. A memory that stands out when I think of Sasha is when I went to the Norco prom with her, Jordan, and Briana. I didn’t go to Norco so I remember feeling out of place, just watching everyone dance around me. When I looked around, I saw Sasha sitting down at the table next to me. I felt comfort in knowing that she was next to me and I wasn’t the only one not dancing. It was a small moment but one that brought me great peace. From then on, I knew she had a beautiful heart and soul. I know she is precious in the Lords sight and is now at peace with Him in heaven. 

Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”.

Sasha was encouraged to be more social and go to her school dance with Daniel Bri and Jordan. Daniel  said that she didn’t want to dance and hid from him lol. They tracked her down and danced altogether at the end. What a cute memory.

Sasha loved unconditionally, that was her greatest super power.

Sasha enjoyed In-N-Out Burger.  She always ate the fries first, then her cheeseburger with grilled onions.  Then there was a twist, she would either ask for her Dr Pepper or should would suggest that we stop for a blended Thai tea boba instead.  As grandma D’Errico would say “she was a pistol.”

Sasha’s passing leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and creativity that never will be forgotten.

Sasha was a vibrant soul who filled every space she entered with warmth, passion, and a quiet strength. She had a deep love for animals and shared her heart and home with her beloved dogs—Bailey, Precious, Ela, and Nova—each of whom brought her endless joy and comfort.

A true artist at heart, Sasha found expression through music, strumming her guitar with both tenderness and fire. She was a builder in every sense—of computers, of dreams, of relationships that mattered. Her love of anime, video games, and the endless worlds of imagination spoke to her brilliant and curious mind.

Sasha was also deeply grounded in the beauty of the world around her. She felt most at peace on the beach, surrounded by the sound of waves and the open sky. She found solace in nature and joy in cooking—often preparing meals that brought those she loved around the table.

Her presence was a gift—especially to her cherished grandmother, Geraldine, whom Sasha adored with all her heart. That bond was a constant source of strength and love in her life.

Sasha's light touched many, and though her time with us was far too short, the impact of her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Dear Sashi,

I will forever remember your radiant smile and your love for life. Before your accident, you were such a wonderful sister to Deric. I can still see you and your dad teaming up with those witty zingers that always left him speechless, though deep down, it was clear how much you loved him.

I can still hear your laugh—it was so full of life, and it will always stay with me. You’ve inspired me in so many ways, especially in how to embrace life with joy and determination. No matter what challenges came your way, you always faced them with a smile and a fearless spirit, never backing down from what you set your heart on.

You kept things light, you made people feel loved, and you showed everyone how beautiful life can be when you live it to the fullest. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

My sweet Sashie, 
I have so many memories but one of my favorite was our night at Knott's scary farm. We had a big group and I was so scared of the mazes but you lead us through and you laughed so hard about everyone scaring me. There was also a big storm that night and talked about how cool it was to be there during the rain and hoping Knott's would not shut down. We came home so soaked but you had the biggest smile on your face. My heart will never be the same again. Miss you already ❤️

I remember seeing Sasha one time as a little girl. What I remember was her long curly hair!
Our son Eric,  Jeff and Margie’s friendship goes back 30 something years.

Words cannot express the depth of sadness we feel over the loss of Sasha. She was a tremendously bright light who gave us hope through her optimism and made us smile with her laughter. Sasha was an integral part of everything we did as a team. Through her courage, she became a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to our entire team. Over the years, Sasha's family became our family, and we mourn the loss of our sister and our friend. Rest well, Sasha.

I had the privilege of meeting Sasha through the Niekro Foundation. I was struck by her kindness, joy, and bravery. She will be very missed.

What words can I even express to tell you how very sorry I am to hear of such a great, great loss. Margie - I am holding you and your family close to my heart. I did not know your dear Sasha, but looking at these pictures that friends and family have shared has brought a smile and tears running down my cheeks.

Sasha,
You are like a second sister to me, and through each phase of life, you have always stayed true to yourself and remained certain in what you believe in. You have taught me that even when bad things in life happen, you just have to “keep it moving,” and you did just that,with a smile on your face until the very end. You have no idea how grateful I am to have known you for so long and to have been a part of your journey here on this earth. God really does take the good ones first, but this isn’t a goodbye, just a “see you later.” I love you forever and you will always be in mine and the kids heart.

Baby Kade’s Baby shower with his auntie Sasha. He  is the luckiest boy in the world to have the coolest and strongest person I know as his auntie!

Sasha was always such a light on the monthly young adult aneurysm and avm survivor support group that I help facilitate. I will miss seeing her smile immensely. My sincerest condolences to your family.

Sasha, where do I even begin. As your big brother I always felt like it was my duty to teach you lessons whether through my own mistakes or triumphs. In truth I probably learned the most through you and your beautiful walk of life. Being your big brother has been one of the greatest honors of my life. From the very beginning, you weren’t just my sister, you were my first best friend.

You brought light, laughter, and love everywhere you went. Your strength amazed me, your smile could brighten the darkest day, and your heart inspired everyone around you. I don’t know a single soul who could have gone through the turmoil you went through and still come out with a genuine smile and positive attitude. You truly showed me what it means to live with courage, humility, and joy, no matter what life brings. I was never the perfect big brother, in fact truth be told I should have been better. I was supposed to be your role model, instead you became mine. 

I will always be proud to say I am your big brother, and even more proud to say you were my first best friend. That bond doesn’t end with your passing, it lives on in my heart, in the lessons you had no idea you taught me, and in the love that will never fade. To everyone else you’re Sasha D’Errico, but to me; you are forever my baby sister and my first best friend. 

So to my baby sister, my best friend, I say thank you. Thank you for everything you gave to me in those unsaid lessons and to this world. Thank you for being the realest person I have ever met. Thank you for being the strongest person I have ever met. As your big brother I promise you one thing. I will keep it moving for as long as I live.  
Your niece and nephews will know how great of a human you were. I’ll see you in the next life, hopefully it’s at a dodger game and Muncy goes yard.

Dear Sasha you are the best I could have ever asked for you spoiled me a lot you were so nice and to me. I am so grateful to have you as a big sister. I really enjoyed talking to you and I am so grateful for you are always supporting me and being there for through tough times. I appreciate everything you did for me even the little things like buying me food and even giving me your pc . I took things for granted I didn’t realise how much you cared and loved me. I am so grateful for you Sasha I am very lucky to have a surer like you. Even though you are gone I will always remember the good times we had together and you picking on me for fun just having a great time . Although I didn’t know Sasha for the longest she still impacted my life with her kindness and her contagious laugh. Sasha made the best of any situation and always found a way to make someone laugh. This loss was truly heartbreaking, my condolences and love go out to her family. I love you guys💗
