Sean Thomas Carpenter, age 38, passed away on May 18, 2024, after a courageous battle with alcohol addiction. He was a beloved father, son, and friend, whose kindness and friendship left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Born on March 3, 1986, in Corona, California, Sean was the paternal son of Andrew Carpenter and Donna Jones. He grew up in the home of his aunt and uncle, Lisa & Mike Moser, who raised him as their own. Sean had a passion for water polo and muscle cars, often spending his free time with his two boys and being at the beaches in Southern California. Sean graduated from North High School in 2004 and went on to become a Union Plumber.
Sean was a loving father to his two children, Brody (12) and Braden (8). Despite his struggles, his love for his children was unwavering. He cherished every moment spent with them, from coaching their youth sports teams to teaching them to ride motorcycles. Seans’ infectious laughter and warm heart were felt by his family and friends alike.
Over the past few years of his life, Sean faced the challenges of his addiction with bravery. He worked tirelessly to overcome his struggles, and his journey was a testament to his strength and resilience. His family is grateful for the time they had with him and for the lessons he taught about compassion towards others.
Sean is survived by his children, Brody and Braden; his parents, Andrew Carpenter and Donna Jones; his sisters, Brianne Herrera, Cassie Carpenter, Kylie Speyer Tuter and Madison Moser; his brothers, Kevin Speyer and Matt Moser; his grandmother Vicki Carpenter and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherry & Frank Goff, Thomas Martin Carpenter, Patricia Carpenter, Betty & Clarence Moser, and his uncles, Thomas Patrick Carpenter and John Moser.
A memorial service to celebrate Seans’ life will be held on June 8, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity supporting addiction recovery and mental health awareness, in Seans’ memory.
Seans’ family wishes to express their deep gratitude to all who have shown their support during this difficult time. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
