Terri Lynn Stolpp, 70 years old of Norco went home to be with the Lord on October 11th, 2023, after a 3-year battle with cancer. Terri never stopped fighting and was determined to see her family equipped for the future and her inevitable absence. Where many would have broken Terri stayed strong, realistic, and indomitable in spirit. Her last days were spent surrounded by her husband, children and grandkids who mourned, prayed, laughed, and cried in equal measure.
Terri Lynn Stolpp was born on February 18th, 1953, to Duane Forest Turner & Mildred Lenora Nay /Turner. She was the youngest child and joined her two older brothers Logan & Billy Turner in Montebello California. She lived most of her life in Anaheim California and attended Walt Disney elementary and Magnolia High School.
Durning Terri’s senior year she met Walter Stolpp who was to be her constant companion and best friend for 52 years of marriage. She loved being married and said that she had attained her true calling when she looked into the eyes of her first child. Three others were soon to follow.
She loved to be outdoors with her family gathered around her and was a cowgirl at heart. She started tent camping with Walter early on in their relationship and upgraded to a motorhome that was just as important to her as the family home in Norco. She enjoyed hosting family events full of food, fun and conversation and made sure that spouses, extended family & significant others were all equally welcome. Terri was also feisty having been raised with two brothers and bringing up four independent children Jason Stolpp, Dara Stolpp/Helberg, Tawnee Stolpp / Helberg & Jacob Stolpp. She wasn’t one to back down from a challenge or argument when she felt she was right. Lastly Terri was a patriot. She loved this country, her Turner family history, and her English Lab General Patton.
Terri was a central figure in the lives of her four children, their spouses and 12 grandchildren. She was a beautiful woman who’s smile could light up a room right until the end. When we think of her thoughts inevitably come up of her cowboy hat, quads, and campfires at Rasor Road during the winter and boating at Havasu Springs in the summer. If asked to describe her in a word, it would have to be Matriarch. If asked to describe a feeling about her it would be love. She set and held the direction of her family and made sure her children would carry on her traditions and had a strong sense of their history and who they were. Her saying out the door to school or events was have fun, get smart and remember who you are.
Terri is survived by husband Walter Stolpp, three children Jason Stolpp, Dara Stolpp / Helberg & Tawnee Stolpp / Helberg, 12 grandchildren and a host of Stolpp Turner & Helberg family members. Her youngest son Jacob Stolpp preceded her in death.
