Theresa Gloria Wickers

Theresa Wickers (Cacioppo), 95, of Riverside, CA, passed away on Monday, October 6. She was born March 12, 1930, the daughter of Antonio and Angelina (Cortina) Cacioppo. She married John Kenneth (Ken) Wickers on March 13, 1948, and they had seven children – Nancy Jeanne, Rodney William, Barbara Marie, JoAnn Mary, Christine Frances, Pamela Therese, and Marilyn Ann. Ken passed away on July 24, 1998 so they had been married for just over 50 years.

She was a retail clerk in the children’s department for The Broadway for over 25 years. There, she had good friends who met socially on a regular basis for many years after her retirement. She was once named "Employee of the Year."

Theresa enjoyed her family the most, including her 10 grandchildren (Christina, Michelle, Kenneth, Brandon, Brett, Kyle, Trevor, Eric, Stephanie, Jonathan) and 8 great-grandchildren (Sawyer, Thatcher, Alyssa, Vanessa, Allison, Austin, Elianna, Annalise). She also enjoyed going to Bingo twice a week and line dancing once a week at the senior center, which she did up until at least 2015. She was an avid reader of fiction and exchanged books with her children up until her final moments. She had a very strong faith in the Catholic Church and shared those values with all of her loved ones.

Catholic funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. (9:00 a.m. viewing) at Acheson and Graham Family of Prayer, Monday, October 27th, immediately followed by internment at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
