W. Patrick Michael Walsh

at Riverside Community Hospital, after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm on

April 17, 2020. True to form, Patrick fought courageously for 13 days before

being taken too soon. Patrick was born in Riverside on October 17, 1973 to

William Matthew Walsh, Jr. and Colleen Eleanora Walsh (Bell). He was a life-long

resident of the city he so dearly loved. Patrick attended K-12 in the Riverside

Public School System and was always a force of nature. Every elementary report

card commented on his willingness to visit with his neighbor, which truly turned

into an asset he carried into adulthood, even if his teachers weren’t quite as

enamored of his gift of gab. He used his skills in conversation and negotiation to

become a successful sales manager with TJ Aerospace, Garden Grove, CA,

where he formed strong bonds and considered his colleagues his second family.

Patrick was a deeply rooted family guy and loved nothing more than

gathering with family for a night of games, movies, or stimulating conversation.

His love for sports was legendary, as were the friendships he made along the

way; whether they be from many years of playing in Magnolia Center Little

League, coaching in Pachappa Little League, or umpiring in District 24. His

ardent loyalty to the NY Mets, Miami Dolphins, University of Miami Hurricanes,

Miami Heat or LA Kings was contagious and he pulled many a friend over to his

team. Patrick made life-long friendships with players he coached, coaches he

played for, and parents and teammates he met along the way.

He was extremely generous, whether sharing with those closest to him or

strangers on the street. Patrick was the ultimate optimist and his enthusiasm

and passion for living enabled him to embrace life fully. His friends and family

will miss him beyond words. He is survived by his children, Austin and Bethany

Walsh; mother, Colleen Bell-Lee; his two brothers: Jarod Lee, and Andrew Walsh

(Oliver), his sister, Brittany Lee-Hillstrom (Andy); Uncle, Shaun Bell; Uncle, Wes

Lee; Aunt, Nancy Lee; cousin, Jakob Bell (Gloria) and their daughter, Joy of

Lakewood, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, William M. Walsh, Jr.,

his Nanna, Eleanora J. Bell; his paternal grandmother, Joan Schroeder; his

paternal grandfather, William M. Walsh, Sr., his maternal grandfather Vincent P.

Bell, Jr.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions the family is delaying the memorial service

and will have a Celebration of Life for Patrick on his birthday, October 17, 2020

at Acheson & Graham Garden Prayer Mortuary in Riverside. In the mean time,
