Wallace was the eldest son of Wallace B. Stafford Sr. and Lois Herbert Stafford. As the family grew, they relocated to El Monte, California in 1956, an area that thrived on livestock and farmers markets. Wallace attended La Puente High School and graduated in 1964, shortly before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Staff Sergeant Wallace B. Stafford Jr. served 4 years as a Logistics Repairman at Edwards Air Force Base in the Rocket Propulsion Lab. During his time of service he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Medal and many more as he took a humble pride in all that he did. Satisfied in his military commitment, Wallace re-entered civilian life in 1968 and began working for General Telephone. After sometime, Wallace grew an interest in the construction industry. This became a passion for him as well as a catalyst to become a great mentor to many. Wallace would become an important asset in the steel framing industry throughout the nation and worldwide. Over nearly 45 years, Wallace has been an integral part of projects in Japan, Peru, Korea, Hong Kong and the Philippines. Always a man of integrity, honesty and commitment, Wallace made lifelong friends wherever he went. Residing in Hemet, he retired in 2008, yet never truly ending his active passion in the industry and was always available for those needing direction. In 1993, Wallace met the love of his life and had set his heart in hers. Wallace and Ingrid Stafford were married on March 9, 1996. He knew what “family” meant and loved her and her children dearly, always treating them as his own. Wallace and Ingrid enjoyed golfing, going to the movies, frequenting restaurants in which servers became family members, spending time with family and friends and most importantly becoming grandparents together.
During his adult life, Wallace took an innumerable amount of people under his wings. Not only as a mentor in his profession but as a true friend, brother, father and papa.
