

Carolyn Otterstrom Crawford, 84, passed away Friday February 2, 2024 of causes incident to age. Born on November 8, 1939 to John Melvin & Florence A James Otterstrom. She was a graduate of South High School and attended Stevens Henager College in Accounting.
She was a devoted daughter caring for her mother with MS for 35 years. She was a dedicated single mother for her 3 children, and to her 8 grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She loved dancing beginning at childhood with ballet, ballroom dance as a young woman, and square dancing in her later years. She enjoyed bowling and played in several leagues. As a teen she joined Job’s Daughters and when her daughter joined she became a Bethel Guardian. Later, she served in the Grand Guardian Council. She was very involved in Scouting as a Cub Scout Leader with her 2 young boys and as a Girl Scout cookie district coordinator. Every year she delighted in watching and tracking each player of the Little League Baseball World Series Tournaments. She loved tracking weather forecasts and compared them to the actual daily temperatures. She enjoyed plants & gardening, as well as sewing.
Survived by her daughter Jennilyn Crawford Whitney Sedgwick (Glen), 2 sons, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, 1 nephew (and his family) & her close cousin Sandra White Doman. Preceded in death by her parents, her brother Melvyn John Otterstrom, her loving aunt Grace Goodfellow.
Graveside Services: Friday February 9th, 2024 at 12 noon, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Dr. Millcreek. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
