OBITUARIO

Carwin B. Beardall

19 septiembre , 19356 agosto , 2020

Carwin Bird Beardall passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 6, 2020 at his home in Midvale, Utah.

He was born on September 19, 1935 in Springville, Utah to Walter Bird Beardall and Jessie Abigail Oaks Beardall. He spent his childhood on a farm and learned to love the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He spent many happy hours hiking in the mountains near his home.

He joined the US Air Force after graduating from high school where he was an airplane mechanic, learned to fly, and became a B-57 Bomber Crew Chief. While in the Air Force he met the love of his life Connie Lae Boyer. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on April 25, 1956. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage together and had 4 children.

He attended Weber State University and had a degree in Chemistry. He had a long career as a chemist in the paint industry and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Paint Society. After retiring, he worked at Boater's World, and then had one of his favorite jobs as a crossing guard where he enjoyed greeting the kids every day. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved going to the temple. He worked there for a while with his wife and continued attending on a weekly basis until a few months ago.

Everyone who knew him loved him and his fun sense of humor, positive outlook and great love he had for his family and friends. Carwin loved learning new things, especially about science and technology. He had a great sense of adventure and enjoyed traveling down unknown roads to see where they would lead. One of his favorite places to visit was Yellowstone National Park.

From a young age Carwin, some called him Carl, spent a good deal of time fishing on Strawberry reservoir with his family. Once he had his own family, he enjoyed taking them fishing as well. Many memorable times were spent at what was then Camp Strawberry with his young family in an old wooden boat, (that would leak a little) fishing on the reservoir. There were several nice fish caught on that boat, and many that he didn’t catch because he was fixing and baiting our lines, but he didn’t seem to mind too much, he just enjoyed being with his family.

He also lived in the Seattle area for a number of years where he spent time fishing and boating in the many beautiful lakes and waterways there. He really enjoyed time spent outdoors being around God’s creations and was always in awe of the beauty in nature.

Carwin is survived by 3 of his children, Lynn Beardall (Kelly) South Jordan, Linda Pullan (Craig) West Jordan, Catherine Skene (Paul) Draper, son in law Robert Bergstrom, 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He has been reunited with his eternal companion Connie Beardall, daughter Cherie Beardall Bergstrom, as well as many other loving family members that have gone before him.

A special thanks to his very dear friend Josef Zillner whose friendship brought great joy into the later years of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to your local animal shelter.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 14, 2020, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Chapel located on 308 West 7500 South (6th Ave.) Midvale, Utah, at 1:00 pm. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45 pm. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley, 13001 South 3600 West, Riverton, Utah.

Carwin loved his family above anything else and he always made sure that they felt his love. He will be truly missed.

What an awesome pic of the most wonderful man. While I could not be at the service my heart is with his family. Carwin and I were very close and through some of my rough times at Howell's paint, he took me under his wing and came to my aid in so many ways. Even to the point of fixing my refrigerator. He crossed some wrong wires together and sparks and fire erupted, he claimed all he could see were white spots before his eyes for days. We laughed about his experience for years and talked about it till his passing. I loved him and Connie with all my heart and will miss him tremendously. Rest in peace sweet man and enjoy your grand reunion with those that have gone before you. Till we meet again...
