Lynn J Casto

Lynn J Casto, passed away at home surrounded by family on June 24, 2023. He was born on May 12, 1955, in Salt Lake City but grew up in Roosevelt, Utah. He married his sweetheart Sherrie Marker on August 8, 1975, and never missed a chance to show her how much he loved her. Lynn enjoyed working for Questar, formerly Mountain Fuel, for 35 years.

He tackled life’s challenges with grit and determination. He fought hard. He loved the mountains and how it brought him closer to those he loved. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix and no one he wouldn’t tease. He leaves a legacy of children and grandchildren who he nurtured and taught to be self-sufficient, kind and loving, just like him. He gave everything to his family. We were so lucky to have him. He was our hero.

He is survived by his wife Sherrie of 47 years, daughters Jessica Guiver (Marshall) and Jennifer Leek (Scott), three Grandchildren (Logan, Annabelle, Savanna), Mother Carol V. Casto, brothers Wayne (Penny) and Richard (Terry). He joins his brother Randy and Father Cliff at the last fishing place.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, June 29th at 1:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.
