William was born on November 24, 2015 in Lehi, Utah as the youngest of 7 children. He never knew a day without the love, attention, and adoration of his older siblings. He was always a cheerful, happy little boy.
Everyone who knew William would agree that he was such a source of light and joy. He was always so full of energy and excitement. He was kind, creative, and curious. He was always very optimistic, resilient, and brave through all the health challenges he experienced in his short life.
William loved Harry Potter, jumping on the trampoline, chocolate milk, Grandma Camp, eating cereal, exploring, imagining and inventing his magical land he called Snubs, writing books and illustrating them, and directing and filming movies on his little camera.
But most of all, William loved Jesus. Every month he would bear his testimony at church. He always insisted on being the one to say the family prayers. And he was always the loudest and proudest singer whenever the Primary kids had a chance to perform at church.
His favorite picture was Jesus holding the lamb, because he always liked to pretend that he was that little lamb.
We know that he is warm and safe and happy with Jesus, his Grandma “Teer”, his Grandpa Merrill, and his Uncle Kyle. As well as other family members who have passed on. William was so loved by family on both sides of the veil.
William is survived by his parents; Amber and Kimball Merrill and all 6 of his older siblings: Emma, Michael, Katherine, Lucy, Russell, and Julia. He is also survived by his grandparents; Mark and Wendy Stephens and Marla and David Wharton. As well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
