In accordance with her wishes, her body will be cremated. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Havana, IL. Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island, is assisting the family.
Hazel was born on February 2, 1913 in Havana, IL, the daughter of Charles E. and Nancy Jenny (Cole) Brandt. She worked for the federal government in immigration and naturalization services for many years. In recent years she attended Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.
Survivors include a great-niece, Frances Bonnett, Collierville, TN.
Sisters, Mazie Bishop and Fannie Morrill preceded Mrs. Cooley in death.
