Mary Elizabeth Chinlund Ray

Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 7, at Hodgson Funeral Home in Rock Island. Visitation is one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church or the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

She was born August 8, 1915, in Aledo, Illinois, to Thomas and Florence (Lindblad) Chinlund. She married John Ray in 1943 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death, June 6, 1988. Elizabeth worked at Modern Woodman Insurance in Rock. Island before she retired.

Survivors include five nieces and nephews, Rod Taylor, Cleveland, TN, Mindy Hoffman, Okatie, South Carolina, John Chinlund, Schaumburg, IL, Christine Hanover, Glenview, IL and Janice Patterson of Portland, Oregon.

Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Chinlund, John Chinlund and a sister, Gladys Taylor.
