Patrick was born on March 1, 1959 in Moline, the son of Ben and Marlene (Mercer) McAdams.
During his early education with Rock Island High School Patrick was very athletic and lettered in wrestling, football, and track. He was a veteran of the Army having served from 1977-1979. He was a professional painter spending most of his time with Brian Boyer. He was known as a prankster and had a great sense of humor. Patrick was the kind of person that was always there when you needed him and would give others what they needed even if it meant he would have to go without. He was very outgoing and didn’t care what others thought of him. He was involved with the church activities at Community of Christ. Patrick was a handyman and was a great cook who was known for his chili. He especially loved being with his family and adored his grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include father, Ben (Lois) McAdams, children, Lyndsay McAdams, Zachary McAdams, and Matthew Welch, grandchildren, Amiya McGhee and Ivyannah Woods, and siblings Scott McAdams, Len (Joe) Harris, Sam (Hazel) McAdams, and Driesst McAdams.
He was preceded in death by his mother and brother Benton McAdams.
