

Art is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn (nee Wagner) Gibbs; children, A. Stephen Gibbs, Patrice M. Ramer (Don), and M. Melissa Shoff (Rob);
7 grandchildren, Andrea (Rich), Ben, Bo, Luke, Ty, Savannah, and Alexandria; great-grandchild RJ, and siblings Joseph Gibbs (Elmira), Margie Mullins, Charlene Shackelford, and Diana Moore (Sterling). He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Gibbs, mother, Clara Bowdler Gibbs, and brothers, John Gibbs and Monte Gibbs.
Art was born October 26, 1925 in Kansas City, MO. He was a decorated World War II veteran. He attended the St. Louis Institute of Music and had a professional singing career with the Wayne King Orchestra and the St. Louis Municipal Opera. His life-long career was in the petroleum industry. After retirement, he worked for Wal-Mart for 16 years.
Art has touched many lives and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2016 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am. Visitation and service will be at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL. Burial will be Monday, April 11, 2016 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL.
