

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Billie Jean Simpson, who left us peacefully on January 15, 2025 at Cape Canaveral Hospital at the age of 87. Billie will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.
Born in Hardy, Kentucky, Billie has been a lifelong resident of Merritt Island since 1962. She was the loving wife of Clifford Simpson for 63 years and devoted mother to sons David Goff (Melanie) of Lakeland, Richard Simpson of Merritt Island, Cliff Simpson Jr (Tammy) of Cocoa, and stepdaughter Vivian Ross (Bobby) of Inez, KY. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will hold her memory dear.
Billie's heartwarming presence and nurturing spirit were felt by all who knew her. She managed Krystal in Cocoa Beach for 20 years and was an avid member of the Merritt Island Moose Lodge. Her favorite pastimes included watching her children and grandchildren play sports, gambling, playing Bingo, and spending precious moments with her family.
She was predeceased by her son Ron Simpson, grandson Ricky Simpson, great-grandsons Garrett and Ashton Simpson, sister Sue Miller, and her loving parents, Duncan and Gladys Webb.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, located at 5950 S US Hwy 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, on Friday, February 24, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by a service at 2:00 pm. A graveside service and burial will follow the ceremony.
Billie's legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
