Mr. Glaser was survived by his beloved wife, Deborah, his mother Esther, brother Howard (Debbie), sister Randy La Russo (Mark), three nieces, three great nieces, two step children, three grandchildren and other family members. Bruce was predeceased by his father Burton and son Todd.
Bruce’s interests led him to careers in music, business, hospitality and he served on several boards. Bruce and his brother Howard founded a successful commodities trading company, Computrage Investment Group. He also served in law, politics and technology, contributing to published books and articles. Later he founded a women and children rescue center, served as Unit Board Director of Boys ‘s Clubs of Broward County, and counseled in a substance abuse center, The Transition House.
An avid reader, Bruce was most inspired by the following passage written by Miguel de Cervantes:
“Where life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams – this may be madness. To seek treasure where there is trash. Too much sanity may be madness-and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not how it should be.”
Family and friends attended Bruce’s memorial service and internment on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Children of Brevard, Inc.
