He studied pharmacy at Dai Hoc Duoc Khoa in Sai Gon, Viet Nam. When his country called upon him, he served as a Lieutenant for the Republic of Viet Nam Medical Corps.
He moved to Montreal, Quebec Canada in 1975 where he attended the University of Montreal and again obtained his license to practice pharmacy. He proudly opened and ran his own pharmacy in Montreal for many years before relocating again to Charlotte, North Carolina USA. It was Charlotte that he called home for most of his life. He worked as a Senior Quality Control Chemist for Endo International, a pharmaceutical company, until he retired in 2012.
Above all else, he was a loving, committed, and devoted family man. He found special joy and purpose through his 3 sons. Not even a language barrier or cultural barrier could prevent him from expressing his unconditional love and affection to his sons. Together with his wife, they raised their sons, tended to their expansive flower garden and bonsai tree collection, maintained multiple aquariums and koi ponds, and built a life and legacy.
He is survived by his wife, Nguyen Pham Susan, married happily for 42 years; his sons Duc, Don, Dan, daughters in-law Aline, June, Kathy, and grandchildren Melodi, Jordan, Hannah, and Alison.
We all love him and miss him dearly. The example he set during his whole life, lives on in each of us.
