Connie was born to Concetta Blumenberg (Didonato) and Edward Blumenberg on August
15th, 1956, in Hackensack New Jersey. Connie met her husband Stanford Labadie, a retired Army sergeant. Who she then got married to on November 9th, 1991. They remained married till his passing on May 15th, 2022. Connie had five children Ray, Shirley, Russell, Clifton and Michael. She also had eight grandchildren; Isaiah, Katiara, Aaliyah, Michelle, Alainia, Alisha, Hunter, and Zamari. She also had eight Great-grandchildren; Jaiden, Kami, Tyler, Sophia, Gavin, Lily, Maleena
and Olivia.
Connie gave her life to the lord in 2018.
Connie never missed an opportunity to remember someone and acknowledge their important moments in life. She always gave cards, lots of cards. They were filled with words of love and how proud we all made her. She was strong and never let illness, not even cancer hold her back. She fought hard and showed up with everything that she had. Even in her final day on Earth, she pushed through and did her normal routine. She also
showed her love for her children in the family by writing them letters, back and forth in the
mail.
She also had a love for thrifting, antiquing, going to the flea markets and yard sales. Collecting dolls, DVD's and CD’s. There was no denying she was Prince’s number one fan. Especially Purple Rain. Just like the lyrics in purple rain....”I never meant to cause you pain. I only wanted to see you laughing. I only wanted to see you laughing in the purple rain”.
