Debra W. Acosta

Debbie was born Friday, July 17, 1953 on Merritt Island, Florida where she would remain a lifelong area resident. Debbie worked as an executive secretary in the banking and insurance industries, but is likely more remembered as an owner of Christy’s Pizzeria in Cocoa.

Debra “Debbie” W. Acosta, 62, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Cocoa, Florida on January 1, 2015.

Her spirit is carried on by her 2 sons, 2 grandchildren, 1 surviving sibling, and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life.

Debbie loved to capture life’s moments and over the years amassed a wonderful collection of photographs and picture frames. She loved to express herself through letter writing and sent greeting cards for every occasion. She loved animals but especially her dogs. She also enjoyed movies and game shows, crocheting, and had an appreciation for cherubs. However, nothing gave her more happiness than her children and grandchildren.

Debbie is predeceased by her parents, Wallace Webster and Lona Futch, and her brother, Wallace “Rusty” Webster. She is survived by her son Tony Acosta and his partner Paolo Regacho, and son Mike Acosta, his wife Shay and their 3 children Shane, Xavier and Urijah. She is also survived by her sister, Geri Petit, and the father of her children, Roberto Acosta.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 9-10AM at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 US HWY 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, with services to follow at 10AM. Interment will be in Florida Memorial Gardens.
