

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. May 5, 2022 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens with Mr. Steve Schantz officiating. Committal will follow in Florida Memorial Gardens with a reception after at the Life Event Center.
Born on January 30, 1942 in Aliquippa, PA and residing in Melbourne, FL since 1993, he was the son of the late Phylis and Joseph Speice. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Colonel after 28.5 years of service. An avid pianist, he could read music or play by ear. He also played the organ, saxophone, clarinet, and accordion. Don cherished spending time with his family. He and his wife Sherry of 51 years, created wood working projects together and enjoyed played computer puzzle games. Some of his hobbies included golf, tennis, bowling, billiards and various card games. He loved playing racquetball with friends and especially enjoyed making many memories on the court with his son Jeffrey. Having a generous nature, he was always willing to help close friends and family. He enjoyed celebrating with a margarita or two among friends and also sharing one of his favorites, Crown Royal Apple. He was always one to share a good joke and his quick wit was sure to make you smile.
Survivors include his wife: Sherry Speice; his son: Jeffrey (Michelle) Speice; his grandson: MJ Ross Speice; his sister Doris Ross; and nieces and nephews.
