

Edward C. Lavallee, 88, retired, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Occum, CT, on March 4, 1923, to the late Frederick and Albina (Gates) Lavallee. He came to Brevard County in 1995 from Norwich, CT and was a member of Church of Our Savior.
Ed operated a private law practice in Norwich, CT for many years. He later held the position of Chief Public Defender for New London County, and subsequently was appointed a judicial magistrate. He was a veteran of World War II and later attained the rank of Captain in the Army Reserves. Ed was active in the Norwich Post of the American Legion, and served as a Judge Advocate.
Ed is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dotty" Brau Lavallee; son, Edward, and daughter-in-law, Sharon Lavallee, of Newport, RI; son, Paul, and daughter-in-law, Karen Lavallee, of Norwich, CT; daughter, Marybeth, and son-in-law, Stephen Pullum, of Longwood, FL; preceded in death by his wife, Mary F. (Brennan) Lavallee. Ed also had ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at Church of Our Savior in Cocoa Beach on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
