Ed was a US Army veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean War. His many decorations include the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. During his tour in Berlin, Germany; he met and married the love of his life, Helga Schmidt. They moved to Satellite Beach in 1958 where he worked as an engineer for RCA for the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions, and then at the Air Force Technical Applications Center.
He is survived by his children; Kevin Lee (Karen) Parsons, Jacqueline P. (David) Menzel, and Jeannine P. (John) Kepner; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased in death by his parents, son Edward L. Parsons, III, and his wife Helga S. Parsons.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL.
