

Eleanora was born on December 23rd, 1941 to Cecil Galloway and Lillian Henry in St. John's, Antigua. She immigrated to the United States in 1967 and lived in Cocoa Beach for 2 years. She then settled in Rockledge for the next 55 years. She lived in Orlando for 5 years in the early 2000s as she completed her employment at AT&T.
She worked at Florida Today in 1970 before beginning a 35 year career at Southern Bell Telephone which became AT&T. While at the phone company she worked in Cocoa, Melbourne, and Orlando.
Eleanora is survived by her 3 loving sons Ivor Galloway of Rockledge, Colin Galloway (Darlene) of Orlando, and James Mitchell Jr. (Tamischca) of Tampa, her grandsons Chase Galloway of Tampa, Chaeny Galloway of Tallahassee, her devoted sister Carolyn Coleman of Rockford, IL, brothers Euart and Whitfield Henry of Rockford, Elson Henry (Jocelyn) of Antigua, 12 surviving nieces and nephews in Florida, and 32 surviving nieces and nephews in New York City, Rockford, IL, Austin, TX, and Antigua, devoted sister-in-law Janie Mitchell Brown of Cocoa, and brother in law John Mitchell of Rockledge. And her many faithful and loyal friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Lillian and Cecil, her stepfather William Henry who raised her from a young age, sisters Yolanda Woodward, Ethlyn Laviscount, and brother Danny Henry.
A wake will be held on Thursday, September 25th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, 1360 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 26th at 1PM at The Life Event Center, 5950 S. US Highway 1 in Rockledge, FL. Burial will follow shortly after.
A reception will be held after the burial at the Rockledge Country Club at 1591 S. Fiske Blvd in Rockledge, FL.
