Kippi was a spontaneous, strong, and incredibly fun woman who adventured the globe with her husband Ben and their four children. Dad (Ben) always said, “She was a genuine bonafide camp follower. Where I went, she went. She followed me all over the world. Nothing was too dangerous for her. If I could put up with it, she could, that’s for sure.”
Kippi can best be described by those she loved as full of life. She never did anything by half measures. When raising four kids in Vietnam, Thailand, Iran and numerous states, she created memorable experiences for her friends and family. Who would ever forget the Halloween parties and dinner parties at Kippi’s house?
Mom always kept busy. She started businesses across the globe: in Saigon at the International House, in Udorn she built a six-sided dance studio, she taught ballet and theatre. Her “Godspell” production is still one of the most remembered events for the Udorn family. She even opened the very first coffee cart in Cocoa Beach, FL called “Kippi’s Koffee” (and you know those are everywhere now). She was a true entrepreneur.
She loved to learn and showed this in her professional life. With her articulate speech and intelligence, Kippi progressed from a secretary for the department of defense to a procurement officer. She went from a GS3 to a GS9 in three years. As many who knew her would understand, procurement is just another word for what Kippi did best! She was a certified Insurance Agent, a massage therapist, and even a Travel Agent (of course…). She was a veteran of the United States Air Force as well.
She truly loved her family, her grandchildren, the great-grands (especially the babies). At the end she would hold out one of those beautiful hands and twinkle a smile.
Kippi is preceded in death by her brother James Shuck, her father Charlie Mitzel, and her mother Dorothy Mitzel. She is survived by her loving husband “Ben” Reuben Densley, her children Lesa Densely, Kristine Densley, Tara Bird (Densley)/Xavier Bird, and Dan Densley/Chloe Woodrow, her sisters Michele McMillan and Debbie Mitzel. She would particularly want her 10 grandchildren mentioned: Ashley Densley/Broc Graham (Lesa’s), Airel Cairns, Ben Cairns (Krissy’s), Talena Wilson (Seth), Katherine Tilley (Tim), Jennifer Kinney-Bird (Justin), Xavier Bird (Brianne), Danyell Bird (Tara’s), Jessamyne Andromacha-Densley, and Stella Andromacha-Densley (Dan’s). She also has 15 great grand children (so far).
Until we meet again…
