George Thomas Hughes 84 0f Rockledge entered into rest on Sunday, October 23, 2011. George was born on September 5, 1927 in Montgomery, AL. He was an Army veteran, he moved to Brevard County in 1952 to play baseball with the former Cocoa Indians. George was a carpenter and welder by trade and was a member of the American Legion and King Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years June, his son Kenny Hughes (Cynde), daughter Karen Hughes, two sisters Nell Pentecost and Ruth Mason, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
