He leaves behind his wife, Barbara, of sixty years and four children...Karen Hobin (John Cashman), June Kinsey (Lee), James C. Jr. (Helen) and David Hobin (Kim). He had nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one deceased great grandchild. He also leaves behind one brother, Raymond Hobin.
James served his country for nearly 24 years in the Air Force. He retired from the Air Force as a Chief Master Sgt. in 1979. Following his military career he went to work for Pan Am World Services as a scheduler at Cape Canaveral. While working for Pan Am he finished his Bachelor's Degree and went on to get his Master's Degree at Florida Institute of Technology. During this time, Johnson Controls took over from Pan Am and Jim continued to work at the Cape and later retired as the General Manager. He then went to work for CSR; retiring for good in 2006.
Jim is dearly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a great husband, father and grandfather (Poppie, Pop).
