

Jesse Curtis Frazier, 86, entered glory December 23, 2010 at his home in Glenbrooke, Palm Bay. He was born in Tampa, FL on May 21, 1924 and raised in Miami. He joined the Navy in 1941 and served as a gunners mate on the destroyer USS Bennion for almost two years. For the past 18 years he and his wife Jackie have enjoyed many Bennion reunions all over the U.S. The reunions with his shipmates were always a special time for Jesse. His family heard stories of his time in the South Pacific after attending the reunions.
Jesse married Jacqueline (Jackie) Kay Roberts in 1945. After marriage they lived in San Diego for 18 months, where he was discharged. They then moved to Hampton, Virginia, the home of Langley Field, AFB. In 1949 he entered the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics Apprentice School, graduating in 1955. In 1959 NASA transferred him to KSC, retiring in 1979.
During their 45 years in Satellite Beach, their five children graduated from Satellite High. He and his family were active members of Oceanside Community Church, formerly Evangelical Free Church, for 50 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jackie; five children, Debbie Hixenbaugh, Dianne Gaines, David Frazier, Douglas Frazier and Donna Jackson; ten grandchildren, Joy, Heather, Michael, Mark, Christopher, Nicholas, Jonathan, Tanya, Tiffany, and Tristan; and 15 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 pm at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services and interment will be private. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Tuesday at the Oceanside Community Church in Satellite Beach.
Jesse was a wonderful husband, loving father, and doting grandpa. His family and the Lord were "his life". We will miss him terribly, but know where he now resides.
