John W Ramsey

John was born in Farmerville, Louisiana in 1934 to Fletcher and Marie Ramsey and lived on Merritt Island, Florida since 1965. John served in the United States Air Force, retired as a NASA Communication Manager and wholly devoted himself to his wife, their children and church.

While John received many awards while working for NASA, his greatest blessings were derived from Christ in his family, friends and Church.

John will never be forgotten and lives in the hearts of all that loved and knew him.

John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Doris, after 58 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his sister; Kay Mitchell (Monroe), daughter; Kim (Jeff) Hernandez, son; Stephen (Joanna) Ramsey, Grandchildren; Ashley (Matt) Meccia, Kendall (fiancée- Caitlyn), Stephen and Katrina Ramsey, Great Grandchild; Michael Kent Meccia, sister- in-law; Peggy Brown, nephews and nieces; Pam (Ken) Holt, Karen (Greg) Cain, Bobby (Susie) Mitchell, Jeff, Bart and Chase Brown, grand nephews and nieces; Chris, Chad, Kelly and Kristin.

Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 PM followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 13, 2017 at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial in Rockledge, Florida, with interment to follow in Florida Memorial Gardens.

Donations to Wuesthoff Hospice are preferred and flowers are welcome.
