Juan Luis Figueroa Sr.

Juan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Christine. Dear father to Debbie Leitten (Chuck), Lisa Peterson (Jim) and Juan Jr (Lesa). Beloved Pa to Mitchel, Jessica, Eric, Trey, Alex, Tyler, Chase and Aubry. Great Pa to Bella, Sterling, Beckham, Hudson, Emma M, Christopher, Emma B, Colson and another on the way. Special acknowledgement to his Caregiver, Candy, and neighbor, Joe, for all their support and love that enabled him to remain in his home over the last few years. Predeceased by his loving parents Juana Ortiz and Emilio Figueroa.

Juan was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and served in the US Army from 1953-1956. Upon being honorably discharged, he shuffled off to Buffalo, NY. where he met Christine. Juan worked two full-time jobs as a Mental Health Worker at ECMC and Buffalo Psychiatric Center for over 30 years. When he wasn’t working, Juan enjoyed music, dancing, watching baseball and football, telling dad jokes and celebrating life. He was a dedicated family man who would do anything to support and provide for them. During retirement in 1997, Juan and Christine moved to Melbourne FL; they were married for 61 years. He was loved and respected by anyone who met him and was a hero to his family. Juan will be greatly missed – rest in peace!

Per his wishes, Juan will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held with family.
