

Louis Hildore Julian Moe, 96, passed away on 2 July 2015 at his Hibiscus Court residence in Melbourne. Born in Grayling, McGregor Township, Minnesota, in 1918, he was the eldest of 5 siblings born to Jalmer Bang and Helen Inga Moe. Upon graduating from high school he joined the U.S. Navy in 1937 and served as a radioman in the Pacific during WW-II in support of expeditionary forces under the command of General Mac Arthur. Retiring from the Navy in 1957 as Chief Communications Technician/R-Branch, he worked for the National Security Agency another 15 years until retiring and moving to Indian Harbour Beach, Fl.
He was preceded in death by parents Jalmer and Helen Moe, Mavis Ann Moe (b. Ourimbah, Australia) his wife of 55 years and brother, Alvin Moe (Anchorage, AK). Louie to his family and Larry to his friends, was a member of the Masonic Lodge (32rd degree), Fleet Reserve Association, American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being in the company of family and friends.
He is survived by son Alan and his wife Marcia (VA), son Robert and his wife Sheila (MD), sister-in-law Esteline (AK) brother Ed and his wife Connie (AK), brother Gene and his wife Shirley (AK), sister Alice and her husband Robert (MN); and his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren Melanie, Tara, Gordon, Trevor and his wife Traci, Hayden, Anabel and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
At his request, there will be no funeral services at this time. A memorial service at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a future date.
