Born in Guatemala City in 1938 to the renowned artist Maximo De Leon and Raquel Velasquez, Cami grew up surrounded by creativity, culture, and a profound appreciation for beauty in all its forms. From an early age, she carried herself with grace and warmth, qualities that would define her life and the way she cared for others.
Cami was a devoted Christian whose faith was the cornerstone of her life. It guided her through both joyful and difficult times, and she shared that faith generously through prayer, kindness, and unwavering compassion.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alberto Gonzalez, her brother Enrique, and sister Lourdes.
Cami is survived by her loving children, Anna and Roberto, who were the pride and joy of her life. She was a cherished grandmother to Andrea, Christian, and Matt, each of whom brought her immeasurable happiness. Her family was her greatest blessing, and she nurtured them with tenderness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion.
