Marsha Martinez Tabor of Palm Bay, FL passed away July 25th, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on August 6th in Fairbanks, Alaska where her father was stationed Eielson Air Force Base. After getting stationed at Patrick Air Force Base, Marsha fell in love with Satellite Beach and decided to stay when they got re-stationed.
She was a long term resident of Brevard County graduating from Satellite High School then later going on to graduate from Brevard Community College (now Eastern Florida) with an A.S. in computer information systems. Then after 17 years of dedication to her studies, in 2004 she proudly graduated from University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and fulfilled her dream. She wore the black and gold with pride and attended many football games to cheer on her team.
She was able to fulfill her other life goal to go to Alaska where she enjoyed a land cruise and many other famous sites. Marsha always tried to make everyone smile even if she wasn't in the mood to be happy. She will be remembered best for her willingness to always motivate to succeed and for her motto found at the end of each holiday letter: "Kiss and hug those you love every day. If not, call and tell them you love them. Time is precious, we are not promised tomorrow and your memories are everlasting. Appreciate each day!".
She recently retired after 24 years from Harris Corporation and greatly enjoyed the retiree lunches with her friends. In her "spare" time she could be found volunteering for various organizations in the community. As a social butterfly, she was constantly the life of the party and always wanted to make sure everyone was having fun and laughing. She had a one of a kind laugh that will be heard in many minds for years to come.
She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Martinez; grandchildren, Anthony & Aaliyah; great niece Brianna Wood; special friends and former sisters-in-law, Gail Floyd and Rose Van Winkle; life-long friends Paulette (and the Zubal/Springer families); Jan Bloomer (and Bloomer/Staton/Bata families); and Rosie Carver (and family) and many other amazing friends that have turned into family over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marsha's name to: The Women's Center at 1565 Sarno Road, Suite C, Melbourne, FL 32935.
