

Maximillian graduated from Ascension Catholic School and was currently a freshman at Viera High. He was on the 2010-11 district championship Viera High varsity soccer team. He was also a member of the
State Cup Space Coast United Soccer Club. At Ascension he was a member of the football, basketball and soccer teams; he was a true athlete. He went by the nickname "Million".
Max had beautiful blue eyes, a contagious smile and a tendency to give his mother and father spontaneous hugs. He was competitive and humble.
He will be dearly missed by his twin brother Zachary, his family and many friends.
Maximillian is survived by his parents, Alan and Michele Mercer; brother, Zachery Mercer; grandmother, Penny Mercer; grandmother, Joan Manning; uncle, Jay Jr. Mercer; cousins Jay and Katrina; aunt, Diane Cardinale; cousins, David and Lisa; uncle, Bill Mercer ;aunt, Catherine Mercer; cousins, Paige and Willy; uncle, Freddie Mitchell; aunt, Cindy (Krzynowek) Mitchell; cousins, Stephanie, Melissa, Corey; uncle, Brian; aunt Jenine Krzynowek; cousins, Brian, Eric, and Michael; uncle, Bill Smoak; aunt Lisa (Krzynowek) Smoak; cousins, Travis, Jena, Troy, Connor; uncle, Keith Krzynowek.
A vigil service will be held Monday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at Ascension Catholic Church. A mass, at the same location, will be held Tuesday, March 8 at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorial contributions be made in Maximillian Mercer’s name to the Myles Freeberg Foundation, Inc.
