On December 28, 2024, Miranda Bethany Wood, 19, passed away peacefully in Orlando, Florida. Her faith became sight as she met Jesus face to face after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born in Richmond, Virginia and is survived by her parents Patrick and Natalie Wood, her younger sister Caitlyn; her grandparents; three aunts; and two uncles. She spent most of her life with family and friends in Midlothian, Virginia and most recently in Melbourne, Florida.
Miranda had a love for dogs, theme parks, and cherished time with her loved ones. Her favorite foods included coffee, ham and cheddar pizza, and rice noodle dishes. Passionate about serving others, she enjoyed participating in service projects and assisting with vacation Bible school at her church. Known for her gentle and quiet spirit, Miranda touched the hearts of many.
Her favorite song, Stay Strong by Danny Gokey, beautifully reflected her life—a journey of resilience and trust in her Heavenly Father. Despite the challenges she faced, Miranda found joy in the simple things and embraced life with grace.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Melbourne (3301 Dairy Road) on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Candlelighters of Brevard would be deeply appreciated.
