

Α loving daughter, sister and aunt, she is survived by her nieces and nephews, Marilyn McKnight DeBlasio, James Edmund McKnight, Margaret McKnight Cook, Myrna McKnight Bowker, Joseph Albert McKnight, Marcia McKnight Lowe and Elizabeth Rodgers McKnight Murphey, of Florida and Cynthia Hunter McKnight Faler and Charles Edmund McKnight of Georgia, as well as 16 great nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, James Edmund and Sarah Elizabeth McKnight, her brothers Herbert Edmund McKnight, James Albert McKnight and her sister Harriet Elizabeth McKnight.
Ms. McKnight was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on August 1, 1939, and grew up in Avon-by-the Sea, New Jersey and Miami, Florida. She began her working life as a legal secretary in Miami, Florida in January 1957. She subsequently worked for the U.S. Department of State in Quito, Ecuador. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business, from Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida, she worked for the Comptroller of the Currency in Florida, the General Services Administration and Internal Revenue Service in Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, D.C. Ms. McKnight held a variety of government positions. She retired in February 1997, after 40 years of working.
She was a member of Suntree United Methodist Church, Melbourne. Her interests included genealogy, photography, and reading. She greatly loved the beach, and all animals, especially cats.
Α Celebration of Life Service celebrating Ms. McKnight's life will be held Suntree United Methodist Church 7400 N Wickham Rd Melbourne, Florida 32940, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Ms. McKnight's memory be made to any Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
