Neil Peter McLeod III, 78, passed away peacefully in his home on April 21, 2025. He was born in Seattle, Washington on October 24, 1946 to Neil McLeod Jr and Mary (Leicht) McLeod. He had relocated to Florida in 2023 to be closer to his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
As a fourth generation family business owner, during his career, he operated Union Bay Garage in Seattle's University District along with his brother and father. Neil had many pursuits including land speed racing, model railroading, fishing, cooking, reading, and travel. He often had an encyclopedic knowledge of a wide variety of subjects.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served on an Aircraft carrier during the Vietnam war. He had many life-long friends. He is survived by brother, Paul, his son, Kenneth, daughter-in-law Kendall, daughter Emily, son-in-law Josh, and grandchildren Zander and Taylor.
