Norman "Ken" Kenning, 94, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Health Center of Merritt Island. Ken was born in England on August 17, 1916. He served in the British Army during and after World War II and was among the evacuees at Dunkirk. He moved to Midland, Michigan in 1965 and married the former Mildred Martin in 1967. She predeceased him in 2007. They lived many years in Midland where Ken was a consultant at Chemical Bank and Trust. In 1991 they moved to Cocoa Beach where Ken was very active in many local groups. He was a member of the Navy League, The Officer's Club at P.A.F.B., and Cocoa Beach Community Church. He is survived by his son, John (Elaine) Kenning of England; his step-daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dick Daniels; a granddaughter, Kiersten Kenning; grandsons, Michael and Tom Daniels; six great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Interment has taken place at Florida Memorial Gardens and a memorial service will be held at the Cocoa Beach Community Church on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
