Rev. Richard “Dick” Leonhard of Melbourne FL, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2021 at William Childs Hospice House, surrounded by family, at the age of 92. Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Carole. Survived by his three children, Margaret Stutzman, Richard Leonhard (Tina), and Paula Brandt (Robert Scott). Beloved Pappaw to 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his parents, Phillip and Isabelle Leonhard, and his three brothers, Victor, Jack and Norman.
Richard was born in Akron, Ohio and served many congregations throughout the Eastern Coast of the United States and Canada before retiring to Melbourne, Florida. Richard was an Army Veteran, who was awarded a Purple Heart for his courageous action in the Korean War. Richard loved three things, the Lord, his family and the Ohio State Buckeyes. A Celebration of Life Service will take place in Akron, Ohio.
