

Born December 28, 1928 in Passaic, NJ, Bob grew up in Park Ridge, NJ and enlisted in the USAF Army Air Corps in 1947 after graduating from high school. He was an Aviation Mechanic on B-29 serving in combat operations during the Korean War, and continued his career as a flight engineer for C-130s.
Bob also worked at Kennedy Space Center for 26 years on the Apollo and Space Shuttle Programs where he was responsible for structural maintenance of Pads 39A and B. He retired as manager of Support Operations on the Shuttle Launch Pad.
Bob loved spending his retirement time enjoying the company of family and friends and volunteering for the city of Satellite Beach, SBPD Citizens on Patrol for 20 years.
His hobbies included working out at PAFB gym, walking on the beach, fishing and photography, and Formula One auto racing. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed walking his pet Chow dogs, Honey and Bo. Of his many interest and hobbies Bob is best known for his bicycle repair and restoration business, "Bob's Bicycles". He was affectionately known in the community as "Bikeman Bob".
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia M. Gregory, his English Rose of 64 years; daughter, Lynn Ehleiter; grandson, Shane Ehleiter; sisters, Constance Maslik and Florence Downey.
Survived by daughters, Janet (Tim) Beck and Sandy Gregory; son, Robert (Donna) Gregory, Jr.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur (Susan) North; son-in-law, Gerald Ehleiter.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955. Guests are encouraged to park at the Life Event Center and await the procession to the grave.
