Robert Sherker

Robert retired from a 23 year career in the in US Air Force where he specialized in Explosive Ordinance Disposal. During that time he was stationed at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan. In 1976 Robert came to Brevard County but relocated to continue his duties at Plattsburgh Air Force Base in New York. He returned to Brevard County again in 1985 to work as a Pad Safety Supervisor at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. Robert was a member of Master Blasters, the VFW and the American Legion.

Robert is survived by his wife, Virginia Ruth Tiffany Sherker; Sons, Robert Glenn Sherker, Jr., Donald Wayne Sherker, Brian Charles Sherker and Jeffery Scott Sherker; Daughters, Jennifer Ruth Hodge and Elizabeth Anne Sherker Vaillancourt; Son-in-law, Warren Kent Hodge; Grandsons, Spencer Warren Hodge, Joshua Leo Vaillancourt and Jacob Robert Vaillancourt; Brother, Robert Charles Hendrickson, Jr.; Sister, Randy Cheryl Hendrickson Flemming; Brother-in-law, Joseph Flemming.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 12pm – 1pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial; 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, with a funeral service immediately following at 1pm. Interment will follow in Florida Memorial Gardens.
